First Night Chatham

Come join us for First Night Chatham! We are a family-friendly, alcohol free, town-wide celebration of the arts with over 70 performances and events.

December 31st, 2022 will be First Night Chatham’s 32nd New Year’s Eve celebration. The past two years have been of limited scope, but this year the plan is to come back to a “new normal”. Activities will start with the Town Photo at the Chatham Lighthouse at Noon, with indoor performances as in all but the past two years, reaching a peak of noise and awe with the Noise Parade and Veterans Field Fireworks, and more activities until finishing at 9 PM.

Independence Day Parade
July 3rd; 9:30AM

The First Night Chatham float in the Chatham Independence Day Parade will feature Hyannis Sound, Cape Cod's award-winning male a cappella group. They are only here in the summer, so come hear Hyannis Sound's first performance for First Night Chatham.

Online Button Sales Extended

First Night Chatham Headquarters has buttons, and you can buy “Will-Call” buttons online for another day. Visit the Online Button Store page to buy.
Adult buttons are now $25 for the last three days of button sales.

Headquarters is Open

First Night Chatham Headquarters is now open, with buttons, programs, merchandise and information. 10am - 4pm Monday to Saturday; 1 - 4pm on Sundays. See the Headquarters page for more detail.

Be a Venue Volunteer on Dec 31st

Show your support of First Night Chatham by signing up early to be a Venue Volunteer on the 31st. You can help by indicating a willingness to come back this year as a Venue Volunteer. Volunteers are First Night Chatham's most precious resource, and without them the event could not happen.
