First Night Chatham Committee Open Positions
The First Night Chatham Committee is the all-volunteer steering group that produces First Night Chatham each year. Anyone with an interest in helping to make First Night Chatham happen is always welcome at committee meetings, or can contact us at the email address at the bottom of this page. Read more about the committee on the First Night Chatham Committee page.
This page describes the open job positions in the committee.
Please contact the First Night Chatham Chairperson at for more information.
The Bus Coordinator arranges for bus transportation from noon to past midnight on New Years Eve to allow First Night Chatham patrons safe and convenient transportation from one venue to another, minimizing traffic and parking congestion.
Food Vendor Coordinator
The Food Vendor Coordinator lines up the food vendors who will be present at First Night Chatham venues during First Night Chatham.
Other jobs and tasks are described here in summary, pending further elaboration. All of these jobs are done by First Night Chatham Committee members.
- Grants: The Grants Coordinator handles all requests for support of First Night Chatham that require a grant application (more than a simple letter requesting a donation).
- Site Signs (Exterior): Large signs are placed at each venue listing the entertainment program at the venue. Many are in real-estate sign holders, which are borrowed from local realtors. The Venue Signs Coordinator prepares these signs (new each year), and (with helpers) places and removes the signs on First Night Chatham.
